Instructor Qualifications ~ Dan & Carol Ohler

 

Dan and Carol Ohler are a husband and wife team. Carol has a Bachelor of Education Degree in Secondary Mathematics. She has completed training in Reiki, coaching theory with the National Coaching Certification Program, personal development, and communications. 

Dan comes from an agricultural background, then moving on to agricultural lending and land agent consulting. He has taken extensive training in negotiations, workshop skills, personal development, and communications. Dan is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS), National Speakers Association (NSA), and the International Federation for Professional Speakers. He develops and delivers keynote addresses on a variety of topics. He believes that laughter is the best medicine and performs comedy routines as "Ole Olson" or "Inga Olson". His Swedish background allows him to do this in a manner consistent with his strong values based on love and respect for all.

Dan and Carol are professional workshop and seminar facilitators. As a team, they have received accreditation from the University of Toronto Guidance Centre, for "True Colorsä ", Ontario Agricultural Training Institute, for "Open Your Gates to Agri-tourism", and Professional Development Regional Consortia and the Alberta Teacher’s Association for "Toward a Safe and Caring Community" series. They facilitate business management and personal development workshops for Yellowhead East Business Development Corp. as well as other businesses and community organizations. They have developed a variety of workshops and will custom design these to suit every need.

They own/operate "Ohlers’ Acres", a Country Vacation and Retreat Centre. They provide farm holidays and retreats where people can rest, relax, and re-energize in a peaceful country setting. A large variety of activities are possible at any time of the year. They also cater to corporate business meetings and facilitate personal development workshops as a part of these meetings when requested.

Dan and Carol believe in life-long learning, happy functional families, and healthy, prosperous people. Inspiring and helping others succeed is their goal.
